Retreat Policies & Terms

Registration, Deposits & Cancellation Policy

A deposit of $333 CAD is required to reserve your space in the retreat.

Cancellations made 90 days or more prior to the retreat start date are fully refundable.

Cancellations made between 60–89 days prior to the retreat start date are eligible for a 50% refund of monies paid.

Cancellations made within 60 days of the retreat start date are non-refundable.

Due to the intimate nature of the retreat and the advance financial commitments required to secure accommodations, staffing, transportation, and retreat operations, no refunds will be issued for:

  • missed flights

  • travel delays

  • late arrivals

  • early departures

  • unused portions of the retreat

  • personal scheduling conflicts or changes of mind for any reason

If you are unable to attend, you may request to transfer your registration to another participant, subject to facilitator approval.

Force Majeure & Exceptional Circumstances

In the event of significant world events, natural disasters, government restrictions, political instability, public health emergencies, environmental conditions, or other extraordinary circumstances that materially impact the safety or feasibility of travel or retreat operations, refunds, credits, or transfers may be considered at the sole discretion of the facilitators.

This may include circumstances that:

  • prevent legal travel to or from the retreat destination

  • create unsafe conditions for participants or facilitators

  • materially disrupt retreat operations

If travel remains legally permitted and the retreat proceeds as scheduled, a participant’s personal decision not to travel will not qualify for a refund outside the standard cancellation policy.

The facilitators reserve the right to make all final determinations regarding refunds, postponements, credits, or cancellations under exceptional circumstances.

Travel Responsibility

Participants are solely responsible for:

  • flights

  • passports

  • entry requirements

  • transportation arrangements

  • travel documentation

  • medical requirements for international travel

Participants are encouraged to arrive with sufficient time flexibility in case of airline or transportation delays.

Transportation outside designated retreat transfer windows remains the responsibility of each participant.

Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is STRONGLY recommended for all participants and should ideally include:

  • trip cancellation/interruption coverage

  • international medical coverage

  • emergency evacuation coverage

The retreat organizers are not responsible for losses incurred due to travel interruptions, accident, illness, weather, or unforeseen events.

Health & Medical Responsibility

By participating in this retreat, you acknowledge that certain retreat activities may involve physical, emotional, psychological, and energetic experiences.

Participants are responsible for consulting appropriate healthcare professionals regarding participation in:

  • breathwork

  • sweat lodge

  • somatic practices

  • hypnosis

  • meditation

  • movement sessions

  • energy healing modalities

  • ocean excursions

Participants agree to disclose any relevant medical, psychological, or physical conditions that may impact their participation or safety.

The facilitators reserve the right to decline participation if they believe the retreat may not be an appropriate or safe environment for a participant’s current condition.

The retreat organizers are not responsible for events occurring physically or medically - participation is entirely voluntary.

Assumption of Risk & Liability

Participation in this retreat is voluntary and undertaken at your own discretion.

By attending, participants acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with:

  • international travel

  • physical movement

  • breathwork practices

  • emotional processing

  • ocean activities and excursions

  • wellness and transformational experiences

Participants agree to release and hold harmless:

  • Anam Chara Journeys

  • retreat facilitators

  • guest practitioners

  • venue partners

  • third-party excursion providers

from liability for injuries, losses, damages, or unforeseen circumstances arising from participation in retreat activities.

A separate liability waiver will be included in Welcome Package and required prior to participation.

Excursions & Third-Party Activities

Optional excursions and activities, including ocean-based experiences such as the SeaFari excursion, may be operated by independent third-party providers.

Participation in optional excursions is voluntary and subject to weather, ocean, and safety conditions.

Retreat organizers are not responsible for cancellations, schedule changes, or incidents related to third-party services.

Community Agreements

This retreat is intended to foster a respectful, supportive, and confidential environment.

Participants agree to:

  • engage respectfully with others

  • honour personal boundaries and consent

  • maintain confidentiality regarding group sharing

  • contribute to a safe and supportive retreat environment

Harassment, disruptive behaviour, or conduct that compromises the safety or integrity of the group may result in removal from the retreat without refund.

Photography & Media

Retreat organizers may occasionally capture photographs or video content during the retreat for future promotional or educational use.

Participants who prefer not to appear in media content may notify the facilitators in writing prior to the retreat.

Right to Refuse Participation

The facilitators reserve the right to refuse or discontinue participation to any individual whose behaviour is deemed unsafe, disruptive, or not aligned with the integrity of the retreat container.

Agreement

By registering for this retreat, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these policies and terms.
